All interested applicants must apply for a Program of Choice or School of Choice even if the program or school is at the home school campus. Program of Choice and School of Choice students receive priority in course placement.

All students must apply for a Program of Choice or School of Choice when transitioning from one campus to another (example: elementary to middle; middle to high). This includes students matriculating from the Riverside or Alice Carlson Applied Learning Centers who want to attend the Applied Learning Academy middle school.

Students who transferred to their current school are not considered part of the feeder school pattern for that campus. They return to their attendance zone feeder school during the application and selection process. For example, if a student whose home school is Monnig Middle School transferred into McLean Middle School, Paschal High School is NOT their home high school. If they wish to attend Paschal, they MUST apply to a Paschal Program of Choice OR wait until all Program of Choice students are placed and then apply for a transfer to Paschal. Transfers are not guaranteed and are allocated on a first come, first served basis with priority to students who reside within the Fort Worth ISD boundary.

TO APPLY

Fill out the online application || OR || Download the paper application

Only complete either an online or paper application, not both. However, if you have more than one child, an application must be filled out for each child applying for a Program of Choice or School of Choice. Falsifying information on the Choices application will invalidate the application, and the student’s application will be excluded from the selection process.

DEADLINE
The application deadline is January 11, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. For paper applications, mail or bring completed applications to:

Fort Worth Independent School District
