GET A JUMP ON PLANNING FOR COLLEGE

WHAT: Parent College 101 - Early College Planning Sessions

WHEN: Monday, January 26, 2009, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Tarrant County College, South Campus, 5301 Campus Dr., Fort Worth, Mapsco 92S

SUMMARY: Fort Worth ISD’s Parent and Public Engagement Department and Tarrant County College (TCC) are teaming up to provide Parent College 101. Parent College 101 is a four hour course for parents and school administrators on how to start early college planning for their students. 

This program is open to all parents and school administrators of elementary, middle and high school students. Topic sessions will include:

·        Planning for college

·        College Connection administration process

·        Stars for Tomorrow Scholarship and Financial Aid

·        Campus tours

 Each participant will receive a certificate of completion and lunch will be provided by TCC. But space is limited to the first 450 registrants.  Reservations can be made by contacting Scott Hulsey, 817-871-2992, scott.hulsey@fwisd.org. The deadline is January 19, 2009.
