Eighteen Confirmed of H1N1 in FWISD— Friday Update
The Tarrant County Public Health Department says, as of Friday, there are 18 confirmed cases of N1H1 (Swine) flu in the Fort Worth ISD. Four confirmed cases were added today. There is an additional probable case at Hubbard Heights Elementary School, which is being added for the first time to the list. Multiple probable cases are under investigation.
The Fort Worth Independent School District reopened schools for students on Friday, May 8, following the recommendation of the Tarrant County Public Health Department. While health authorities have determined that the school district should be reopened, parents are urged to be vigilant. Children who have flu symptoms and who are identified as having the flu should be kept at home for seven days.
