FWISD RECEIVES DONATION OF HUNDREDS OF CASES OF ANTI-BACTERIAL WIPES
Fort Worth, Texas – Earlier today the Fort Worth ISD received 750 cases of Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes, part of a donation being made to schools in communities hit by the H1N1 flu. Each case contains eighty canisters of anti-bacterial wipes. Additionally, the District received a supply of tandem packs, smaller more transportable versions of the same item.
“In response to the swine flu outbreaks, we felt it was important for us to do what we could for communities and schools across the country,” said Charles Slife, Ph.D. and Vice President of Research and Development at Energizer Personal Care. “Wet Ones(R) Antibacterial Wipes are perfect for schools and can help kids stay healthy by cleaning their hands when soap and water are not readily available.”
The Centers for Disease Control advises that hand washing is the first line of defense against infection. When soap and water aren’t available anti-bacterial agents, such as the Wet Ones Wipes provides an easy, quick alternative to keeping hands clean.
“We are grateful to Energizer Personal Care for this donation,” said Melody Johnson, Fort Worth ISD superintendent. “As a former teacher I understand how teachers will readily find a use for these items.”
