FORT WORTH ISD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM BENEFITS GRADUATING SENIORS
Fort Worth, Texas – The UNCF and employees of the Fort Worth Independent School District are pleased to announce a scholarship program that is open to Spring 2009 Fort Worth ISD graduating seniors who will attend a UNCF member college/university or any other historically black college or university (HBCU).
Requirements:
- Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Student must be a 2008-09 graduating senior from a Fort Worth ISD high school
- Student must be enrolled full-time at a UNCF member institution or Historically Black College or University
Scholarships up to $2,500 will be awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and academic potential. Scholarships up to $5,000 will be awarded to graduating seniors who (demonstrate financial need and academic potential) will be attending one of the Texas UNCF Schools--- Jarvis Christian College (Hawkins), Huston-Tillotson University (Austin), Paul Quinn College (Dallas), Texas College (Tyler), Wiley College or in the fall. The scholarship award will be sent to the Financial Aid/Scholarship office at the student’s UNCF/HBCU campus upon proof of enrollment.
