SUMMARY: In November, 2007 Fort Worth ISD voters approved a $596.3 million bond package that included significant technology upgrades for classroom instruction.

Over the last several months the FWISD’s Digital District has resulted in thousands of new Promethean Whiteboards being installed in classrooms across the District. The installation of the Whiteboard in Janelle Chadwick’s classroom marks a significant milestone in this effort.

In recognition of this accomplishment Ms. Chadwick and Bonnie Brae principal Dr. Stephanie Hughes will be on hand to receive a set of student response systems, called ActiVote’s that work directly with the Whiteboards.

FWISD’s Digital District program calls for the installation of 5,000 Promethean Whiteboards by May 2010. The installation process is running about eighteen months ahead of schedule.
