Two New Confirmed Cases of H1N1 in FWISD—Thurs 5/21 Update 

The Tarrant County Public Health Department says, as of Thursday, May 21, there have been 36 confirmed cases of H1N1 (Swine) flu in the Fort Worth ISD, including two news cases, one each at  Cesar Chavez Elementary and Forest Oak Middle School. 

While health authorities have determined that the school district should be reopened, parents are urged to be vigilant.  Children who have flu symptoms and who are identified as having the flu should be kept at home for seven days.  

Confirmed cases have been identified at:

  • Cesar Chavez Elementary School (1 case)
  • Forest Oak Middle School (1)
  • Riverside Middle School (1)
  • Tanglewood Elementary School (1)
  • M.H. Moore Elementary (1)
  • Charles Nash Elementary School(4) 
  • McLean 6th Grade Center (3)       
  • McLean Middle School    (4)      
  • Meadowbrook Elementary School(1)      
  • Riverside Applied Learning Center (1)      
  • South Hills Elementary School (5)      
  • Springdale Elementary School  (3)      
  • Westcliff Elementary School  (2)  
  • Arlington Heights High School (1)
  • Lily B. Clayton (1)
  • Kirkpatrick Middle School (1)
  • Washington Heights Elementary (1)
