BACK TO SCHOOL ROUND UP ALREADY SCHEDULED

Fort Worth, Texas - For the past four years, the Back to School Roundup has provided school supplies to elementary-aged children who are eligible for the Free & Reduced Lunch Program and attend school in Tarrant County.

Back to School Roundup facts:

When/Where: August 20, 2009 - 8:00 am to 2:00pm, Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 West Lancaster Fort Worth
To qualify for the Back to School Roundup a child must be entering pre-kindergarten (PK) through 5^th grade in the 2009-10 school year and attend school in Tarrant County
Eligible children receive a back pack with general school supplies, a pair of shoes and socks.
Children can also receive a haircut if desired.
Families will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of social services agencies that assist families throughout Tarrant County.
The Roundup is a fun, family event that helps children prepare for and get excited about the upcoming school year.

Pre-registration for the Roundup is strongly encouraged. At pre-registration sites, you can complete an application and receive a voucher for each student. The following pre-registration dates have been scheduled:

Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 9am-12pm at Southside Community Center (959 E. Rosedale, Fort Worth)
Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 9am-12pm at Resource Connection (2300 Circle Drive, Fort Worth)
Saturday, August 1^st 9am -2pm Hispanic Wellness Fair, Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibit Hall (3400 Burnett Tandy Drive, Fort Worth)
Other pre-registration sites and dates to be announced. - Call 211 in July for additional information!
On-site registration on the day of the Roundup will be available.

To register a student bring the following information:

ID/Driver’s License for parent or legal guardian
Birth Certificate for each eligible child
Proof of Income – only one required

Check Stubs dated within the past 6 months
Medicaid or CHIP Card
TANF Award Letter
Food Stamp Award Letter
Employer Letter (must be on company letterhead)
