Students were awarded tickets for their success in math, science, English and social studies classes, perfect attendance, success on the various TAKS tests. Students could qualify for up to fifteen tickets per week.
Earlier in the day, ticketed students will draw to be one of the ten lucky finalists who will receive a Spectra key. At the 5:00 p.m. event those 10 finalists will have the chance to see if their key is the one that works.
The event is being scheduled later in the day to give O.D. Wyatt families and supporters a better chance to attend.
