FWISD JOB FAIR TARGETS RECENT GRADS
Fort Worth, Texas – Just graduated from high school? Need a job? Need a Career? Cash for College? The 2009 Hiring Fair is designed to help the recent Fort Worth ISD graduate, as well as current students, with all of those critical questions.
The Hiring Fair is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2009. It will be held at the Exhibits Hall of Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 West Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth. The operating hours will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Event partners will include the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Jobing Foundation, Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County.
Potential employers are encouraged to adopt student employment rules that correspond with the school completion initiatives of Fort Worth ISD’s Project Prevail. Those guidelines include, but are not limited to making school attendance a condition of employment; limiting student work hours; requesting to see report cards; and providing incentives for school performance.
