Fort Worth ISD Receives Pat Summerall Award from Recovery Resource Council
The Fort Worth Independent School District is the recipient of the 5th Annual Pat Summerall Award by the Recovery Resource Council of Fort Worth. The presentation was made at the 21st Annual Stars in Recovery Luncheon on June 11 at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel Grand Ballroom, and featuring keynote speaker Kelly McGillis.
Recovery Resource Council has provided prevention education services to Fort Worth ISD for more than two decades and collaborates with the District to ensure quality education and enriching pro-social development for Fort Worth’s youth. The District is being commended for the team of Prevention Education Specialists who work within schools and with the staff of the Recovery Resource Council.
“We are fortunate and extremely grateful for our shared passion and collaborative efforts in trying to ensure the safety of the young in Fort Worth,” read the citation in the luncheon program.
Dr. Patricia Linares, Deputy Superintendent for School Leadership and Student Support Services, accepted the award on behalf of the District.
