Scholarships Remain for Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference in July
UNT’s Mayborn School of Journalism Hosts Event
Five scholarships remain for teachers who wish to attend the 2009 Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference next month at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center in Grapevine, TX. The scholarship covers the conference fee and registration, lodging and meals for the weekend conference.

Friday’s keynote speaker is Paul Theroux and Saturday’s keynote speaker, Ira Glass, of NPR’s This American Life. Individual tickets to hear the keynote addresses may be purchased on the Mayborn School Web site.
The Frank W. Mayborn Graduate School of Journalism is once again sponsoring the Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference, July 24-26, 2009, at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas.
Five of those scholarships are sponsored by the Sid W. Richardson Foundation for educators of the Fort Worth Independent School District. The scholarships include registration, meals, and lodging for two nights.
Deadline for application is July 1. Notification of winners will be made via e-mail by July 3.
Two UNT people -- qualified writer and instructor – will judge all the entries. UNT is registered with the TEA for Continuing Professional Education credits. All queries should be directed to Jo Ann Ballantine maybornconferenceinfo@unt.edu
