FWISD COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE
Fort Worth, TX – The Communications Department of the Fort Worth Independent School District has been recognized for excellence in Electronic Media by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).
In all, Communications garnered nine (9) awards. The winning entries are:
Award of Excellence - Digital District
Award of Excellence – Straight to the Classroom
Award of Excellence – Teachers Rock
Award of Excellence – Countdown to Kindergarten
Award of Merit – District Update Campaign
Award of Merit – Teacher Talk
Award of Honorable Mention – Special Interest Programs
Award of Honorable Mention – Project Prevail
Award of Honorable Mention – Curriculum Frameworks
“I am so very proud of our department staff and the energy, vision and commitment they bring to work everyday,” said Senior Communications Officer Barbara Griffith. “As we move forward we now have to be better than ever in creating those products that help communicate the District’s message to the community.”
NSPRA is a professional, non-profit organization founded to provide professional development, products and services to:
- Build public support for the best educational opportunities and achievement for all students; and
- Promote better public understanding of the objectives, accomplishments and needs of education in a diverse society.
NSPRA members are school leaders with various responsibilities - superintendents, professional communicators, board members, principals, school foundation and business partnership leaders, education leaders for associations, and numerous consultants who work with educators on all facets of communication.
