NEW STUDENT PLACEMENT CENTER  AVAILABLE TO HELP 

Fort Worth, Texas – Families new to the Fort Worth Independent School District can sometimes find the registration process a challenge. And if the family speaks a language other than English the task might be even more daunting. In these situations, the FWISD Student Placement Center is the place to go. 

The 2009-20010 Student Placement Center brochure is now available on the District’s Web site, www.fwisd.org (Click on “Departments” then on “Student Placement Center”). The brochure details the specific services available to new students and parents who speak a language other than English. Information about records for verification and registration is also outlined. 

The brochure is an essential piece of information as students and families prepare for the news school years. The brochure is available in Spanish, Vietnamese, Bosnia and English. 

Beginning August 10, 2009 the Student Placement Center office hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The center will also be open on Saturday, August 15th and 22nd, for families not able to come in on a weekday.
