“THANK YOU!” TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Fort Worth, Texas – The Fort Worth Independent School District is extremely grateful to its Community Partners who have made the start of a new school year a memorable one.
Among the activities that have taken place are:
· Unity One Credit Union hosted Gear Up for School giving away 500 backpacks.
· First Congregational Church donated supply-filled backpacks to students at Westcliff Elementary School.
· Holy Family Catholic Church, US Department of Housing and Urban Development and Crescent Real Estate hosted “Back to School Breakfasts” for staff at Boulevard Heights, Van Zandt-Guinn Elementary and Benbrook Elementary.
· Dannon donated school supplies and nutritious snacks for students at Edward J. Briscoe.
· KPMG donated 100 backpacks to students at Versia Williams Elementary School.
· VA Outpatient Clinic donated school supplies to Carroll Peak Elementary School.
· Teluga Association of North America donated 100 backpacks to students at A.M. Pate Elementary School.
“Education is a community endeavor,” said Superintendent Melody Johnson. “These companies and organizations, and others like them are truly our partners and we would be less effective without them.”
