What: College Foundations Program
When: Mondays & Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Oct. 26, 27, Nov. 2 & 3, 9 & 10, 16 & 17, 30 & Dec. 1, 7 & 8
Where: Tarrant County College Trinity Campus
Who: Any FWISD 10th-12th graders.
Summary: The Fort Worth ISD College Foundations Program is a twelve session college prep program to help prepare 10th through 12th grade students for college admissions.
The staff of the Student Engagement and School Completion Department, college volunteers and university representatives will guide students through the admissions process and discuss their college experience.
The students will learn:
- How to prepare for college while in high school
- How to complete the college admissions application
- How to apply for scholarships
- How to select a university, major and career that suits him/her
- How to get the most out of a college experience
- Life skills such as resume writing and interview preparation
Snacks will be provided and transportation will be available upon request.
