FWISD FOOTBALL GAMES INTERUPPTED BY WEATHER
A number of Fort Worth ISD football games were interrupted by lightning on Thursday evening. Some have been rescheduled. A complete list is included below along with Friday night’s and Saturday’s regularly scheduled games.
Thursday, September 3rd
Clark Stadium – South Oak Cliff and Wyatt played to a 7-7 halftime tie. The game was suspended due to continuous lightning in the area and will resume Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m.
Handley Field – Jefferson and Polytechnic suspended play with 5:21 remaining in the 2nd quarter. With lightning continuously in the area, it was decided to end the game with Polytechnic ahead 31-0. The remainder of the game will not be rescheduled.
Friday, September 4th
Clark Stadium – Dallas Molina vs. Dunbar 7:30 p.m.
Farrington Field – Irving Nimitz vs. Paschal 7:30 p.m.
Handley Field – Venus vs. Diamond Hill 7:30 p.m.
Eastern Hills at Brewer 7:30 p.m.
South Hills at Crowley 7:30 p.m.
Southwest at Crowley 7:30 p.m.
Trimble tech at Dallas Conrad 7:30 p.m.
Western Hills at Denton 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 5th
Grapevine Faith vs. North Side at Farrington Field 7:00 p.m.
