GRADUATE PROGRAM POSITIONS
Exclusively for Fort Worth ISD secondary math, science, social studies and ELA teachers who teach English Language Learners (ELLs)!
Free tuition and fees, free textbooks, $500 classroom materials grant per teacher, stipend of $1,500 upon completion of program (with evidence of training teachers on your campus)! A Collaboration of FWISD and Texas Woman’s University.
Purpose of Project ACCELERATE:
- To prepare secondary teachers to work with ELLs in the mainstream content area classroom.
Highlights of Project ACCELERATE:
- All courses either online or on site in Fort Worth
- Courses taught by faculty from the TWU College of Professional Education
- Nine credit hours taken during 3 consecutive semesters
- Includes Teaching in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Environments, Second Language Acquisition Theory and Practice, and Methods of Teaching English as a Second Language
Candidates of Project ACCELERATE must:
- Already be certified teachers
- Apply and be admitted to TWU’s Graduate School
- Meet ACCELERATE admission requirements (letter of recommendation from principal)
