FWISD STUDENTS LEARN COMMUNITY SERVICE THROUGH SUPER BOWL EVENT
Fort Worth, Texas - Fifty-five Fort Worth ISD students will participate in the Super Bowl XLV education program being announced on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Cowboy Stadium. The Regional Media Conference is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Fifth grade students from 11 FWISD elementary schools will be present. The education program is designed to involve thousands of students from across North Texas during the 2010 fall semester. Students will perform thousands of hours of adult-supervised community service projects throughout the regions.
One particular Fort Worth students, Maddie Vondra, from Ridglea Hills Elementary School has been selected to be on the stage at the event. She will address the assembly about the service learning project she has chosen - recycling rain water to help the science classes at school maintain the school garden.
