FORT WORTH SISTER CITIES SEEKS STUDENT AMBASSADORS 

Fort Worth, Texas – Fort Worth Sister Cities International is seeking Youth Ambassadors in grades 8-12 for the 2010 Youth Ambassador Exchange Program. Limited scholarships are available based on financial need. 

Over the years, many Fort Worth ISD students have participated in this program. Photos and stories from students who travelled to Swaziland and Italy this year are available at www.fwisd.org. 

This annual program provides area youth the unique honor of representing our city of Fort Worth as Youth Ambassadors to experience the rich history, traditions, language, culture and education of our current seven sister cities in Italy, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Hungary, Mexico and Swaziland. Youth Ambassadors gain international understanding while making new international friends to become better prepared to be successful in our global society.    

The deadline for application is Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Interviews are scheduled for mid-November. Information is available from Fort Worth Sister Cities at www.fwsistercities.org.
