CITY CHAMPIONSHIP IS REALLY A FAMILY SQUABBLE 

WHAT: FWISD Middle School football city championship 

WHO: Handley MS Hounds vs. Meadowbrook MS Buffalos (husband vs. wife) 

WHERE: Clark Stadium, 5201 C.A. Roberson, Fort Worth, Mapsco 92T 

WHEN: Tuesday, November 3, 2009, 7:00 p.m. 

SUMMARY: When the Meadowbrook Middle School Buffalos battle the Handley Middle School Hounds for the city bragging rights in football, it really will be a family affair. 

The principal at Meadowbrook Middle School is Cherie Washington. The principal at Handley Middle School is Cherie’s husband of 17 years, Lewis Washington. Each has been in their current Fort Worth ISD assignments for four years. 

“Although we fought to a tie last week, the Buffalos will trample the Hounds this time!” says Meadowbrook’s Mrs. Washington.   

“We’re ready!” said Mr. Washington. “I have no doubt we will be victorious.” 

The game gets underway at 7:-00 p.m. at the District’s Clark Stadium.
