FWISD BOARD SECRETARY ACCEPTS PRESIDENT'S RESIGNATION

Fort Worth, Texas - In his capacity as Fort Worth ISD Board of Education Secretary Dr. T.A. Sims has accepted the resignation of Board President Ray Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson resigned his post effective December 8, 2011, citing health reasons.

In accepting the resignation Dr. Sims wrote:

I am in receipt of your letter of resignation as President, Board of Education of the Fort Worth Independent School District effective Thursday, December 8, 2011.

My prayers are with you and your family as your health and wellbeing is of great concern to me. I appreciate the time we have spent serving our children and community. Do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do in your behalf.

 The Board is next scheduled to meet in open session on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 5:30 p.m.
