UIL REALIGNMENT BRINGS CHANGES FOR FWISD
Fort Worth, Texas – The new University Interscholastic League Football and Basketball Alignment includes some changes for Fort Worth ISD high schools.
Under the plan that covers football for 2012-2014 and basketball for 2012-2013, most FWISD high schools are no longer in their own district. Under the old alignment ten District schools were grouped under District 6-4A. In the new alignment five schools are in District 6-4A while six others have been moved to District 7-4A. The two remaining high schools are divided into Conferences 5A and 3A.
The new UIL alignment for Fort Worth ISD is as follows:

4A and 5A football schools that do not hold spring training and 3A schools can begin non-contact practice on August 6, 2012. 4A and 5A schools that do conduct spring training may begin non-contact practice on August 13, 2012.
