7TH/8TH GRADE WHIZ QUIZ SEMI-FINALS AND FINALS
The McLean Middle School Whiz Quiz team took home the 1st place trophy Thursday night after a championship victory over Daggett Montessori in the final match of the FWISD 7th/8th Grade Whiz Quiz Academic Competition.
McLean finished with 425 points, and Daggett Montessori finished with 195.
Both teams had to earn the right to compete for the title. McLean defeated the team from J.P. Elder Middle School, while Daggett Montessori knocked Morningside Middle School from the competition.

Whiz Quiz is the “GE College Bowl” styled academic competition that has been a tradition in the FWISD since the 1977-78 school year. This “sport of knowledge” requires 6th grade, 7th & 8th grade and high school academic teams to accurately answer brain stretching questions faster than their opponents.
