Presentation about Fort Worth ISD’s New Plan to Support Campuses
Plans for Three Learning Networks Are Outlined
On Tuesday, February 28, Chief Academic Officer Michael Sorum and Chief of Schools Robert Ray presented information about the new Fort Worth ISD Learning Networks to the Board of Education.
The two divisions will also receive new names. Curriculum and Instruction will become the Division of Teaching and Learning. School Leadership will now be known as the Division of School Leadership and Learning. These two groups will partner to develop the Learning Networks that will directly support our campuses.
Here is the presentation from the board meeting.
And, here is a link to video from the presentation at the board meeting.
Mr. Sorum and Mr. Ray told Board members the three Learning Networks will each be responsible for a specific number of schools. Each Learning Network will be made up of content specialists, school leadership directors, and liaisons from almost every division in the District. These teams will provide campus-specific support to teachers and administrators.
