FWISD NAMES DISTRICT TEACHERS OF THE YEAR
Fort Worth, Texas - Two Fort Worth ISD teachers have been selected as the 2012 Fort Worth ISD Teacher of the Year for their respective grade levels. Each teacher was surprised during a special recognition dinner for all Campus Teachers of the Year sponsored by Central Market and the District.

Tania White is the Fort Worth ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year. White teaches Algebra 1 at Paul L. Dunbar High School. In this video, White tells us why she became an educator.
Susan Moore is the Fort Worth ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year. Moore has been teaching in Special Education for 27 years. She currently teaches at South Hills Elementary School. Moore outlines her teaching philosophy in this video.
White and Moore were among the 130 Campus Teachers of the Year and Chairs for Teaching Excellence honored during the annual recognition event. Community sponsors donated fabulous door prizes such as sports tickets, ‘get-away’ packages and product and service opportunities to make the recognition even more special.
District Teachers of the Year are selected from among applicants chosen as Campus Teachers of the Year or Chairs for Teaching Excellence. The District Teachers of the Year recipients will advance to the Region 11 Teacher of the Year and if selected will go onto State Teacher of the Year competition.
