Our parents, students, employees and other community members who follow us on Facebook and Twitter tell us it works both ways – they’re able to learn about District-related events, quickly get answers to their questions, and have a dialogue about the education issues that matter most to them.
The District now has more than 5,800 Facebook friends. If you’re not among them, please join today. Just go to www.facebook.com/fortworthisd. If you are following us already, ask a friend to join. As a member of our Facebook community, you’ll get:

There are other Fort Worth ISD Facebook pages, as well, including pages for TABS Prep and High School, the Young Women's Leadership Academy, the Young Men’s Leadership Academy and dozens of other individual school pages.
Our more than 1,800 Twitter followers take advantage of another cool tool for keeping up with the District, the Board of Education, our individual schools and educators. To follow us on Twitter, go to www.twitter.com. The official name of our Twitter account is @FortWorth_ISD.
Fort Worth ISD was one of the first school districts in North Texas to brave the social media waters in 2008-2009. Some warned us that Twitter and Facebook were too new and too risky. We saw them as another channel of communication for engaging students, parents and the community and driving them to our information-filled website, www.fwisd.org. Since then, we have built relationship after relationship by answering questions, posting photos and videos and listening to what all our stakeholders have to say.
