 Eastern Hills High School National Honor Society Recognizes 59 Students

Fort Worth, TexasFort Worth ISD’s Eastern Hills High School reactivated its National Honor Society chapter during a traditional candlelight induction ceremony in the school’s auditorium.  Included in the new group are 19 juniors and 19 sophomores who were inducted as members, as well as 21 seniors who were recognized as honorary members.

The National Honor Society is the nation's premier organization recognizing outstanding high school students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.   

“Reactivating the National Honor Society is a huge step toward improving and recognizing student achievement at Eastern Hills High School,” said Principal Cherie Washington.  “Our top students deserve to be recognized for their dedication, hard work and success, because they serve as peer role models.  Kudos should go not only to these students who have earned this distinction, but also to our staff members for the progress they are making in the classroom to ensure student performance is being attained.” 

The newest members of the Eastern Hills High School National Honor Society include: 

12th grade honorary members:  Jose Almeda, Jeremy Alvarez, Rekenia Buchanan, Guadalupe Calzada, Vivian Castaneda, Christian Chetwood, Melanie Gallon, Angel Guardado, Anthony Jones, Keion Kelly, Krystal Means, Lisa Nguyen, Michael Nguyen, Cecilia Rodriguez, Sergio Rodriguez, Danielle Sims, Sammantha Steward, Camora Talley, Ashley Thompson, Luis Toca and Courtney White. 

11th grade inductees:  Luis Ayala, Melissa Baltazar, Rasheda Bell, Keaton Brewer, Ambrea Busby, LaCourtney Duckett, Brittany English, Carolyn Estrada, Keith Gunter, Fernanda Guzman, Brittany Hudson, Cindy Javier, Sharay Johnson, Manuela Loya, Teona Phillips, Cindy Ramos, Veloise Simpson, Tierra Tate and Caleb Vasquez.
