Teacher Appreciation Week 2012

Teacher Appreciation Week 2012 is celebrated May 7-11 with May 8 designated as Teacher Appreciation Day.

Teachers are the people who educate us and give us the vital knowledge which we need to live our lives. They encourage, support, discipline and prepare us for the road ahead.

The Fort Worth ISD honored all District teachers by recognizing the District Teachers of the Year at the Board of Education meeting scheduled for May 8, 2012.

Susan Moore, a teacher at South Hills Elementary was named District Elementary Teacher of the Year. Tania White of Dunbar High School was selected as the Secondary Teacher of the Year. Both were chosen from a field of 50 applicants and announced during the Recognition Dinner for the 131 Campus Teachers of the Year sponsored by Central Market and other community partners.
