FORT WORTH ISD STUDENT COUNCILS EARN NATIONAL RECOGNITION
Four Schools Honored for Student Leadership Opportunities
Four Fort Worth ISD schools are among 64 schools in Texas recently recognized by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESPF).
The Student Councils at D. McRae Elementary, Natha Howell Elementary, I.M. Terrell Elementary and Young Women’s Leadership Academy are winners of the NAESP Honor Council Excellence Award. This annual award recognizes excellence in leadership, citizenship, and community service.
“This is a prestigious honor and is indicative of the outstanding work done on these campuses to foster student leadership opportunities,” says Carolyn Soloman of the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).
A trophy will be presented to each school in the fall.
