Fort Worth ISD Special Olympians Victorious at Texas Summer Games

Fort Worth ISD Special Olympics Athletes competed with 3,000 other athletes from Texas in Special Olympics Summer Games that were held at the University of Texas at Arlington on May 24-27, 2012.  Twenty six athletes represented FWISD in track and field events, Opening Ceremonies and danced the night away at the Victory Dance.

Jacob Eaby -100 meter dash -4th ; javelin 300 grams – 3rd

Dunbar HS:
D’Erricka Sharp – 100 meter dash - 3rd; softball throw – 2nd
David Smith – 100 meter dash - 7th; softball throw – 5th
Rashad Wilson – 100 meter dash - 7th; standing long jump - 6th

LIFT Program/Transition Mall:
Shelby Crump – 100 meter dash - 3rd; softball throw – 6th
Xavier Juarez – 100 meter dash - 4th; softball throw – 3rd
Bryan Uselton – 100 meter dash - 6th ; javelin 400 grams - 1st

Michael Bearden – 200 meter dash - 4th; javelin 400 grams - 2nd; 4x100 meter relay – 3rd

Jarrod Reed – 100 meter dash - 7th; softball throw - 7th
Yareli Reyes – 50 meter walk - 1st; standing long jump - 4th

South Hills HS:

Autrione Wade – 100 meter dash – 5th; javelin 300 grams - 4th
