Studies have shown that proper nutrition, combined with physical activity, has a dramatic impact on student behavior, performance and classroom achievement.

Through a 16-week pilot school lunch program at FWISD’s De Zavala Elementary School, Food For Thought seeks to demonstrate that current financial resources can be used to create healthy, balanced school lunches, using fresh ingredients.

Activities at the Big Reveal this evening included:

  • Cooking demonstration with Chef Lisa
  • Parent Marketplace
  • Fitness is Fun with Fit Worth
