CELEBRATING OUR STUDENTS’ ABILITIES 

Fort Worth, Texas - Fort Worth ISD’s Special Education Department is inviting all parents of students with special needs to take part in the 4th annual Celebrating Our Students’ Abilities. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the International Newcomers Academy, 7060 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth. 

Celebrating Our Students’ Abilities will feature group workshops on programs that impact students with diverse needs and disabilities. Workshops will include:

  • “Siblings Shouldn’t Have to Struggle”
  • “The “T” My Ride”
  • “Be the Thermostat”
  • “Delayed? Compared to What?” 

Dinner, childcare and translators will be provided. The District will provide free transportation with buses departing at 5pm from North Side, Eastern Hills, South Hills and Poly High Schools. Come enjoy a great night of learning and entertainment for the whole family.
