RADIOSHACK BICYCLE RACING TEAM VISITS FWISD SCHOOL 

What: RadioShack Nissan Trek Team and Mayor Betsy Price report on progress of FitWorth   

When: Thursday, October 18, 2012, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

Where: M.L. Phillips Elementary School, 3020 Bigham, Fort Worth 

Visuals: RadioShack Team and students will participate in physical activities; team will sign hats; racing bike will be on display. 

Summary: Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price and members of the RadioShack Nissan Trek Team will visit Fort Worth ISD’s M.L. Phillips Elementary School to help promote FitWorth. The visit will be on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. 

Fit Worth is an initiative centered around making healthier choices. The idea is to rally employers, schools, hospitals, government officials, faith communities, non-profits and retailers around local activities to halt the upward trend of obesity in our community.  

As part of the visit to Phillips Elementary, Team RadioShack will join students in physical activities and speak about their road-racing experiences and the importance of eating healthy and staying active.
