National Student/Parent Mock Election Results 

Fort Worth, Texas (Nov.7, 2012) – Although the overall outcome is the same as the national vote, the statistics for the National Student/Parent Mock Election are different.

Nationally, Mock Election participants voted overwhelmingly to re-elect President Obama giving the incumbent 460 electoral votes compared to Governor Romney’s 78 electoral votes.

 But unlike the formal election, students in Texas also overwhelmingly supported the president, 70.7% to 26.8% of the vote.

Fort Worth ISD students followed the Mock Election’s Texas trend. The District results are: 

Barack Obama                    Dem               1096 votes      80%

Mitt Romney                       Rep                 172 votes       12.5%

Gary Johnson                      Lib                   52 votes          3.7%

Jill Stein                              Green              53 votes          3.8%
