O.D. Wyatt 26, Western Hills 14

O.D. Wyatt clinched their third consecutive playoff berth with a 26-14 win against Western Hills.  Ladell Marshall led the Chaparrals by passing for 166 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for 152 yards.  Now Wyatt will face Waco out of District 8-4A Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at DeSoto’s Eagle Stadium.  Western Hills finishes the season with a 3-7 record, 2-5 in the District.  The Cougars’ Aaron Stevenson finishes the season as the leading rusher in the District wit 1,880 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Southwest 49, South Hills 21

Southwest held the ball for only 16 minutes, but ran 77 plays en route to a 49-21 win over South Hills.  The Raiders needed only three plays or less to score on five of six possessions.  Robbie Rhodes had only two catches, but both went for touchdowns and covered 155 yards.  Jameion Williams rushed for 115 yards and two TDs.  Southwest will next face Everman in a Class 4A Division II bi-district game this Thursday at Clark Stadium.  South Hills finishes the season with a 4-6 record, 2-5 in District play.

Saginaw 49, Dunbar 27

Saginaw ran out to a 35-7 lead after three quarters and then coasted to a 49-27 win over Dunbar.  Both teams are playoff bound, but Dunbar will have the toughest test as they will play 4A perennial power Wichita Falls Rider Friday night at Clark Stadium. This will be the Wildcats’ fifth playoff appearance in six years.  

Aledo 58, Trimble Tech 6

Aledo cruised to a 58-6 win over Trimble Tech.  The Bulldogs’ only score came on a Darien Tennon 87-yard kickoff return.  Tech finishes the season 1-9, 0-7 in District play.

Granbury 31, Arlington Heights 27

Arlington Heights’ fourth quarter rally stalled at the Granbury 30 yard line and gave the Pirates a hard-fought 31-27 win.  Sammy Webb rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Yellow Jackets.  Arlington Heights finishes the season 2-8, 2-5 in the District.

Arlington Lamar 61, Paschal 28

Arlington Lamar gained 741 total yards to beat Paschal 61-28.  The Panthers season ends with a 2-8 record, 0-7 in District play.

Birdville 65, Polytechnic 0

Birdville scored 56 first half points on their way to a 65-0 shut-out of Polytechnic.  Poly finishes the season with a 2-8 record, 2-6 in District play.
