This innovative academy is made possible by a partnership with the University of North Texas, UNT Health Science Center and Tarrant County College. This partnership gives TABS students amazing learning opportunities – the kind most young people won’t experience until college or even medical school.
Two important components of TABS are:
Early College High School – This component allows students to graduate with 48 to 60 hours of college credit. That can add up to an associate’s degree. And tuition is free! This program is ideal for first-generation college students.
Projct Lead the Way – TABS students learn the fundamentals of biomedical science and work with leaders in the community. Students apply science and mathematics lessons to real-world problems and challenges.
