 15th ANNUAL COCA-COLA CLASSIC SET FOR TIP-OFF 

WHAT: 2012 FWISD Coca-Cola Classic Boys’ Varsity Basketball Tournament 

WHO: Fifteen Boys’ High School Basketball Teams 

WHEN: Thursday-Saturday, December 27-29, 2012 

WHERE: Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center, 5201 C.A. Roberson, (Mapsco 92P)  

SUMMARY: – The 15th annual FWISD Coca Cola Classic Basketball Tournament tips off at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012. All games will be played at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center.

This year the tournament field will be comprised of 15 teams with nine of those having reached the state playoffs last season. 

Fort Worth ISD boys’ varsity basketball teams participating include Dunbar High School, Arlington Heights High School and O.D. Wyatt High School. 

Other schools participating include Denton, Denton Guyer, Arlington Lamar, Arlington Bowie, Mansfield Summit, Mansfield Timberview, Austin LBJ, Killeen, Midlothian, Keller Fossil Ridge, Garland Lakeview Centennial and Fort Bend Kempner. 

“The participant schools epitomize the philosophy of extra-curricular activities, which is educational and athletic excellence through competition,” said Troy Bell, FWISD assistant athletic director. “We are confident that the community will find these student-athletes to be outstanding representatives of not only team leadership, but quality sportsmanship as well.”

The championship game will be played at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012. 

Tickets are available at the gate: Adults - $5; Students - $4. Tournament passes are $15 (adult), $10 (student on Thursday and $10(adult), $5 (student) on Friday.
