MORNINGSIDE HEALTH FAIR AND JINGLE BELL JOG

What: Health Fair and Jingle Bell Jog hosted by Morningside Elementary School

When: Saturday, December 15, 2012 – Registration begins at 9 a.m. Walk/Jog starts at 10 a.m. - Health Fair starts at 11 a.m.

Where: Morningside Elementary School, 2601 Evans Ave., Fort Worth

Summary: Fort Worth ISD’s Morningside Elementary School will host a community Health Fair and Jingle Bell Jog on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the campus located at 2601 Evans Avenue in Fort Worth.    Residents of the neighborhood are encouraged to come to campus and have routine health checks performed, learn about the availability of health care in the area, and to participate in a heart healthy jog/walk.

This is the first Morningside Health Fair and 1-mile Jingle Bell Jog. Participants can pre-register at the school office now. Registration on Saturday will begin at 9 a.m.  The walk/Jog will begin at 10 a.m. The Health Fair will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We are delighted to embark upon this new tradition with our Morningside Community,” said Principal Ronnita Carridine. “This will be another wonderful opportunity to come together as we work towards a "Singleness of Purpose"! We look forward to seeing everyone. 

All registered participants will receive a free t-shirt. Winners of the Jog/walk will be awarded a gift cards prize. Simple, routine health checks (such as a blood sugar level, heart rate, &blood pressure check) will be provided at no cost and in a confidential environment. Morningside Elementary has partnered with the Morningside Children’s Partnership, Clayton Yes!, Morningside PTA, Medstar, Hometown Dental, UNT Health Sciences,  and JPS for this event.
