FWISD MUSIC STUDENTS CHOSEN FOR ALL-STATE HONORS
Fort Worth, Texas, (January 22, 2013) – More than a dozen Fort Worth ISD music students have been selected to perform in the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Ensembles. This is the highest honor a Texas music student can achieve.
The 14 District students were among those selected from the 28 TMEA regions which includes over 55,000 music students performing in band, orchestra and choral music.

These students and their directors will travel to San Antonio, where they will rehearse for three days with a nationally recognized clinician during the TMEA Clinic/Convention. The event is attended annually by over 25,000. The students will play in concert throughout the day on Saturday, February 16, 2013, before teachers, administrators, family and friends.
