Fort Worth ISD 'Target'-ed for School Library Makeover

You can’t judge a book by its cover – but it doesn’t hurt to have a good looking library. On March 6, one of three outstanding Fort Worth ISD campuses will win a “makeover” for their school library. Representatives of Target and Heart of America will visit M.H. Moore Elementary School, Bruce Shulkey Elementary School and Westcreek Elementary School to determine which will receive a complete makeover.

Among the criteria for selection are the ability to sustain the new library, strong support from the school administration, and a library space in need of renovation. Target will select the winning campus at the end of the day.

“Target is planning over 30 library makeovers across the nation so we should feel very fortunate to be included,” says Tracy Marshall, Executive Director, Grants and Development.  “All of the schools are really excited about the opportunity!”

Renovation and work will begin in late summer or early fall with a grand opening set for September or October.
