Watch the video!

“Paschal is known for advanced academics and high achievement,” says CBS11 meteorologist Jeff Jamison in a short video highlighting Paschal High School’s Gold Seal Programs of Choice. There’s even more Panther pride on campus thanks to these programs that prepare students for college and career like never before:

  • Engineering
  • Graphic Design for Print & Web Publication
  • Scholars Program

These rigorous courses of study are based on the interests of students and the needs of the workplace. Each program includes multiple trajectories so that there are opportunities for every student. Watch the brief presentation and learn from Paschal principal Terri Mossige, teachers and students how Gold Seal Programs are making high school more engaging and more empowering.

There are Gold Seal Programs of Choice at every Fort Worth ISD high school. Other Gold Seal categories include agriculture, business administration, culinary, fine arts, government and law, health science, marketing, public safety, technology and much more.

The programs offer:

·Real world applications to classroom lessons

·Internships and job shadowing through the District’s business partners

·College credits

·Licenses and certificates

·Core instruction in math, science, English language arts and social studies

·Advanced Placement

Parents and students will want to attend the CHOICES Expo on December 2 and 3 at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Riley Center, 2001 W. Seminary Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76115.

Here are more details on the Gold Seal Programs at Paschal.

ENGINEERING

Careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics are in high demand across the country, and Paschal is aware of the changing demand. Here students learn the concepts of engineering and technology and work their way to engineering design principles. The program culminates with experience in engineering structures and the presentation of those structures. Students have the opportunity to obtain an industry certification in SolidWorks, an engineering design program.

GRAPHIC DESIGN FOR WEB & PRINT PUBLICATION

Graphic Design for Web and Print Publication provides opportunities for students to learn Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign and Dreamweaver, all of which are industry standards in the areas of web design, print publications and marketing. Creativity is stressed as students study basic design principles and use the skills they acquire to achieve industry certifications and preparation for college.

SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The Scholars Program addresses the desire of high-achieving students to garner college credit, but to not feel boxed in by a particular college or career pathway. Paschal has a long and outstanding reputation as being the premier college readiness school in Fort Worth ISD, sending numerous students to prestigious colleges all over the country with up to 60 hours of college credit earned through success on AP exams. Scholars Program students graduate Paschal High School with the Distinguished Achievement Diploma.
