The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme provide a framework of academic challenge that encourages students to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world. The programmes encourage international-mindedness and a positive learning attitude by challenging students to solve problems, show creativity and resourcefulness, and participate actively in their communities. The MYP consists of eight subject areas integrated through five areas of interaction that provide a framework for learning within and across the subjects. The Diploma Programme contains six subject groups together with core courses – extended essay, theory of knowledge and creativity, action and service – which are central to the philosophy of the Diploma Programme. The IB Diploma is widely recognized by the world’s leading universities.
