Office of Research and Program Evaluation
The Office of Research and Program Evaluation (R&E) conducts research to inform district decision-making about the efficacy of programs and initiatives. During the school-year, the Office of Research & Evaluation evaluates 30 to 40 programs funded by federal, state, and private grants. The Office of Research & Evaluation is also responsible for the administration of district surveys designed to collect feedback from students, parents, teachers, and principals.
External research projects proposed by university faculty, graduate students, community agencies, and other entities are reviewed by the Committee for External Research Review (CERR) for approval for data collection, protection of student confidentiality, and potential benefit to Fort Worth ISD. R&E has established a protocol that must be followed by all parties interested in conducting research in FWISD. To access the protocol, follow the External Research Projects link.
