Mission Statement:

The Fort Worth ISD Office of Adult Education/North Texas Consortium is committed to meeting the learning needs of our communities by empowering adults striving to improve their basic skills through adult education and to promote continued learning throughout their lives.  We will implement instruction using quality research based materials, appropriate content and methods to meet the needs of the adult learner.  We will offer continued support and professional development opportunities to foster a talented and dedicated staff to meet our objectives.

 

About Fort Worth ISD Office of Adult Education

The Fort Worth Independent School District Adult Education/North Texas Consortium Program is grant supported with state and federal funds recieved from the Texas Education Agency / Texas LEARNS.  The services provided are:

  1. Adult Literacy
  2. ABE/GED Classes (Adult Basic Education/General Education Development)
  3. Adult ESL Classes(English as Second Language)
  4. EL Civics (English Literacy & Civics)
  5. TISESL (Texas Industry Specific English as Second Language)

All courses are completely free to the community and are held in many locations throughout Tarrant County. Please visit our Enrollment Procedures page for instructions on how to become a student in our program.
