COLLEGE READINESS ACADEMY

The William James College Readiness Academy is committed to providing a stimulating and challenging learning environment in order to prepare students for the world ahead. Classes are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. William James offers an excellent opportunity for students to explore the world of engineering. A state-of-the-art engineering center for problem-based engineering studies is the primary work area for investigations. Students work with engineering principles and designs, construct prototypes, explore with gadgets and test materials. Students are challenged to develop solutions to open-ended problems that develop out-of-the-box thinking.

• Challenging electives include Robotics, Introduction to Engineering, Cultural Studies and Junior Cadet Core
• Top awards in area, state and national competitions in math, science, art and music
• Two full years of Spanish, French and AP Spanish
• High school credit available for Algebra I, Geometry, English and foreign languages
