The Council - District Employee Relations Council

The Council Composition

Each campus may have up to two representatives on The Council. By policy, there must be one elected representative and one principal-appointed representative. If your campus has not elected or selected your representatives, you may still do so and participate in the October assembly.

As a representative of your campus, you can be compared to a member of the legislature. You must listen to the concerns and opinions of your constituents and carry them forward so they can be addressed by the larger body. In some cases, you may not agree with the issues being discussed and the subsequent responses, but in this role as Council member you are a conduit for communication between your campus SBDM team and FWISD decision-makers. If you want to serve in this capacity, the Council is the place to be!

If you have any questions about the election process, please call Cliff Mayer at (817) 814-3300.
