Promethean Implementation

A Promethean interactive whiteboard will be installed in every classroom at each campus identified by the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The campuses are divided into three phases, which coincide with the CIP phases. The boards will be installed in three rounds, with the final round being completed within the allotted 30 months. Installation began August 2008 and is scheduled for completion by December 2009. Please know that the Division of Technology is doing everything possible to compress the timeline to ensure that all of our students have quality access to this and other technologies. Installation schedules may be adjusted due to installation challenges.

Objectives:

Install interactive whiteboards in every classroom at the identified campuses in 30 months.
Complete the Second Round of installation of 1700+ Promethean Activboards by the end of June 2009
Train teachers receiving Activboards within two weeks of installation.
