Heat System Transition to Numara

The Strategic Operations Department in conjunction with the Customer Service Department is working to replace the existing "helpdesk" software called "Heat". The team will be replacing this software not only for the Division of Technology, but will be including the Operations Department in this overhaul. The two will function under the same software, helping to optimize funding and interrelated work functions by combining them in a single flexible system.

Interactive Whiteboard Project

The Strategic Operations Department, in conjunction with the Educational Technology Department is working to plan, procure and deploy Promethean Interactive Whiteboards in 5,110 classrooms across the District.

This installation is part of the District's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This program consists of two parts, the first is intended to repair and upgrade campus facilties, the second is focused on creating "Digital Classrooms", which will be used to engage students in interactive activities in classrooms.

Technology Procurement Request System (TPRS)

The Strategic Operations Department in conjunction with the Application Development Department are in the process of replacing the paper-based ISR process. The new system will give users the ability to enter new requests and review request status in real time. The new application will also communicate with the user during the process and will communicate with other departments such as the; electric shop, the air conditioning shop and network services, when their services are required for a successful deployment.
