FWISD & TARRANT COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH OFFERING H1N1 VACCINE AT LOCAL SCHOOLS

Fort Worth, Texas – The Fort Worth Independent School District and Tarrant County Public Health are partnering to offer free H1N1 immunizations at all 13 FWISD high schools. Although primarily aimed at immunizing school-age children, each event will be open to students from any school, their families, FWISD employees and the general public.

“The H1N1 flu continues to be the most prevalent flu virus in circulation today,” said Dr. Sandra Parker, Tarrant County Public Health’s medical director/health authority. “Vaccination is the best form of protection and each person who gets vaccinated helps fight the flu in our community.”
